A trike accident yesterday in North Carolina claimed the life of one man and left another man in the hospital. Ken Budd passed away. His passenger Steve survived but his condition is currently unknown. There is some speculation about the cause of the accident but we won’t know for a while yet. We do know that Ken was a good pilot. He flew helicopter – GA fixed wing and was very attentive to detail. Ken was like a son to us. We are all devastated and the family is in great need of prayer.

Hi Lori, so sorry to hear this. Just terrible. Hopefully the person in the hospital makes a full and speedy recovery. I am sure there is a story to be told leading up to the accident. There usually is… we always want to know the how and why as fellow trike pilots. Condolences to the family and so sorry for your loss.

Truly sorry to hear this! Words rarely make anyone feel better at a time of loss like this. I will say a prayer for the family as well as you both.

Lori, So sorry for your loss! When we loose one of our fellow pilot brothers it is a great tragedy, the whole pilot community feels a loss. We will definitely be praying for all those that were close to him. Words sometimes do little in situations like this but just know you and the family’s will be in many of our daily prayers.
