• Flying Outside the USA

So my trike is down for Maintenance and Annual and I need something to keep me entertained. So I found this YouTube series of some guys flying from England up to the Arctic (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ok5eqJtUXBQ) and I was just wondering what it takes for us Yanks to fly in Europe or Australia. Anyone know?

I know our former students flew around the world and they did it by having a private pilot weight shift control license. Sport pilot is worthless outside of the US.

How about the trike? All the trikes that I have seen crossing borders have had foreign registrations. How is Light Sport seen overseas or even in Canada. How about Experimental Light Sport?

Trev – the gent doing that adventure with him – Dave – are both really nice gents – met them last year (or is that the year before!) at a fly-in in the Lake District, north England.

He’s now also released parts 2 and 3 of the adventure.

I clicked on the link you posted and watched the video. They have a big adventure going!

I liked watching Motorkite dreaming on RedBull TV. They changed it though and they took down a lot of the good story and footage they once had on there. Still there is some footage worth watching while they are flying down in Australia.

They cut the good stuff!? That’s too bad…
