General Aviation Insurance for Trikes
Posted by Les Tallman on October 13, 2023 at 10:47 amHello from Austin… It’s that of year again, so I thought I would reach out to see if anyone can tell me an insurance company other than “Falcon” that will insure WSC aircraft?
Thanks,
Les

Mine is underwritten thru a company called Star. Expensive for what it is, but cheapest I found. It is thru the EAA, but not Falcon. Hope that helps. Let us know what you find.

Is there an issue with Falcon? I’m currently talking to the EAA about WSC insurance, mostly ground / hangar coverage.

If you are a member of the USUA ( United States Ultralight Association ) (717) 339-0200 You can get insurance with O2 Sports Insurance Inc. (855) 351-0202 You must be a member to get the insurance but a yearly membership is only $40.00 and is worth it. If you are just looking to get hangar or ground insurance it is around $755.00 a year for a REVO I think around $650.00 for lighter trikes. It is based on MTOW. I do believe you can get hull insurance through them as well. Many airports now make you have insurance to hangar you trikes. I hope this helps.

Hey Ken, thank you for this info. Yes it seems like they have the best deal around! Falcon/Star is the only other trike policy I am aware of. Who knows of another company offering insurance?

If so, I am unaware. I thought initially it was Falcon, but it is underwritten by Star.
