Larry I want to give you my thoughts – not many – that I don’t like about this website.

    1) i don;t use this site often – but I want too – because I can only use it on my computer at home. I don’t like using my computer I prefer my phone. I use an iphone 13 and find the website is not easy to use on my phone. so I don’t visit the website anymore when I only have my phone. the navigation menu doesn’t always work. clicking on the menu blocks everthing on the screen and selecting a menu item does nothing most of the time. when I select a menu item I would like for the menu to disappear and the action do something.

    2) after I post a comment I can’t edit that comment – I can’t spell well and I don’t notice things until later, so I might miss words completely or misspell stuff. but I can’t edit them. so I look stupid (that might never change)

    3) paging to page i don’t like it – why can’t I just scroll and the page loads dynamically. eg. looking at the photos I have to click on the load button.

    3) I seem to need to login often – that might just be me being stupid again. I don’t know.

    4) just some feedback – its slow to use.

I like this site and want to use it more, but it needs to be more easy to use and stupid proof.

ps. I love my Rev its brilliant.

Websites are an incredible amount of work to perfect. I know, our 350 page site requires constant attention. It also could work better with different phones. However, I will say that I have seen incredible improvement with “this site” so be patient. It is like having a new product or child, it will develop and improve over time. It just got started.

We are definitely still working out the bugs. I believe there is no edit on PHOTOs , but you should be able to edit DISCUSSION and VIDEOs. We are working on making all of them editable for 30 m minutes so you can get your spellings corrected etc. but also not allowed to remove or change comments in a thread for the benefit of the discussion.

As far as the iPhone 13, is anyone else having issues? I am using my iPhone 12 which works just as good as my desk top. The site is slow and takes 3-4 seconds to do pretty much anything. I wonder if your internet speed on your phone is related to the problem.

As far as scrolling and scrolling, by breaking down. Page by page it does allow each page to load faster. So I am told an endless video or photo page would not be advisable. As far as the home page being limited to 60 posts that is to keep viewers touching base regularly to see what’s new before it’s gone.

I think you will see, this site will lend itself to longer threads such as the electric propulsion discussion with 40+ comments. So far that is the only thread that has “broken out” so far. But wait until someone calls your REV ugly and then you will see a longer thread. 🙂

The menu should take up the whole page so you can see your selection and press on the correct tab. No other good way to do that as far as I know.

Try pressing a menu button once and just wait and see if it is a slow problem or a button problem on your phone.

    Larry,

Can you ask your website techs if there is a way to post pictures in a thread topic “without” having to link the picture from another picture bucket site?

I’d like to add some threads for others to use, but I’d like to be able to paste the images directly.

I’ll ask, but perhaps starting the thread with a photo and comment would of be the best answer. The Only reason we have a discussion page is when there is no photo or is no video regarding a topic.

Because of the homepage the activity will generally revolve around the homepage bringing people into the thread. That thread can be under a discussion, photo or video. All 3 have the potential to become long threads just the same.

I have the iPhone 12 too. My internet is great on all my devices including my phone.

On Trike Action my biggest delay on my phone is loading the menus which all seem to take 6-8 seconds… on my computer photos and world map take about 8 seconds to load the first page and 4 seconds for additional pages.. this often gives me enough time to get distracted away while waiting…though once the menu is loaded scrolling is great .

I tend to stay more engaged when on my computer so I can multi task while the pages are loading. I used to have challenges with the Like button, but that seems to be fixed.

Can you see how many people visit the site each day? I often look several times daily without leaving a comment and imagine a lot of people do to.

Leo, we are going to add the ability to post photos in the comments.

Diane, we are on our way to TrikeFest. Back at the office I can see the traffic. It has been pretty good with average view times 11-17 minutes. High hundreds per day and sometimes into the thousands.

Hopefully the site will be moving faster tomorrow. Tonight this site gets a big update. Fingers crossed that the lag is reduced significantly. Regardless I will try my best to make this site live up to everyone’s expectations. As a perfectionist, I totally agree we are not there yet. But thanks everyone for enduring our growing pains.

Ironically, I am using a photo to show that we can now post photos in comments.
