Ever had loose fitting Allen or Torx bits in a bolt. One tip can be to use some valve grinding compound on the Allen or Torx bit. It will fill the void and make it a bit tighter. On certain bolts you know that you might have a difficult time getting out and for sure you don’t want to strip it, give it a try.

If you are worried about stripping a bolt, especially torx, put the bit on a long extension and tap it with a brass hammer or dead blow to shock it. I have used this trick for over 15 years working on Harleys, with common torx bolts that are known to strip the heads. You can also buy an impact screwdriver hand tool at harbor freight for $10 it has adapters and you can use others to fit torx or allen heads. and use this along with a brass hammer and you will never strip a bolt head again.

Roger, another great way to remove adhesive is regular old lighter fluid, like you would use in a Zippo lighter. I can’t say for sure if its safe for your propeller or not, but it works great to get glue, adhesive and goo off.
