Peter Wallace contacted me a few days ago, he has had to give up being a WSC examiner, does anyone know of the nearest WSC examiner to Atlanta or any in the SE. Thanks Trevor

I don’t have an answer for your Trevor, but I did want to say what a tremendous resource we have lost with Peter no longer being a DPE. Luckily we have Mike Hudetz in IL. There are plenty of great candidates that could step up, but it is quite an undertaking on many levels to say the least.

I am glad Pete is still flying his Sea Wing and it’s just the DPE position he has discontinued.

BUT IM STILL CALLING PETER WHEN I CANT FIGURE OUR IACRA! 😂😂😂

      Sure Larry!

I will drop a pin for Jonny Thompson.

I wanted to verify he is a DPE for SP and PP Land and Sea WSC. Super Great Guy and Flying is one of his passions.

Also in the OBX area there are 2 WSC CFI’s Andy Thompson and Mike Pattishall —UltraFlight OBX.

Jonny Thompson in Kill Devil Hills, NC, on the OBX (Outer Banks) was my WSC Examiner. He’s a full time Tug Pilot during the Summer for Kitty Hawk Kites Aerotowing Operations, but I could be wrong.🧐

Thanks Jackye, Can you pin him on our world map?

Larry, I tried pinning Jonny Thompson but I’m not having much success. All three, Jonny Thompson DPE, and Andy Thompson, WSC CFI and Mike Pattishall, WSC CFI are best located out of KONX Currituck County Airport, NC. Perhaps you could place pins for them.

      Thanks!

I hear of the problem finding Sport Pilot Examiners all the time. If you can imagine, the airplane sport pilots have the same problem. A main part of our business now at Sport Aviation Center is getting students, who have already been trained and ready for their checkride, here to Carson City Nevada to finish it, get it done. We have two full time instructors, two S-LSA trikes (three sport airplane instructors), and myself as a DPE for WSC Trike/airplane ready to go. Have written the book “Sport Pilot Checkride” specifically for WSC Trikes and Airplanes, everything to make it as easy and fast as possible to get that final hurdle checkride done. Yes, I know we are a long way from the SE, but if you want to get it done, it is just another option, another tool for your tool box. See https://SportAviationCenter.com and give me a call.

be great if we could add pins on the map for DPE’s. This would help answer this question.

Yes Jeff the “Sport Pilot Checkride” was written to make it as easy as possible to get through the checkride. Instructors should tell their students to use it and students should seek it out to make sure they only have to take one chechride.

Paul’s book certainly helped me through my check ride. Worth the time.
